Taking One Day at a Time

Today provided a welcome surprise. The PET scan showed that all the cancer was not gone when my daughter had the test. We were expecting to have to start treatments again. The doctor surprised us by saying he wanted to give the treatment some more time to work since it would still be in her body until December. I could hear my daughter’s kidneys saying thank you. The treatments have been hard on them. A PET scan will be done in October, with a visit to the doctor’s office immediately following for results. All of us are happy for the break in this grueling journey. We will pray that the antibodies given are effective, and we will see more shrinkage of the two remaining spots. Pray.

I’m continuing to pray for you and Julie. I can’t imagine the stress that you both are under. I hope we can get together and talk soon. Love you, lady.
