Retired Principal Tales

Taking One Day at a Time

The up north granddaughters are at 4-H camp this week. Temperatures are extremely high, accompanied by afternoon thunderstorms, and it brings back memories of camp from many moons ago. The routines of camp have remained almost the same as they were during that time. A dance, two campfires, crafts, singing, swimming, and lots of new friends.
Four-H is an excellent program for our youth. Many lessons and skills are taught that will be used throughout their whole lives. I know that being a leader and doing public speaking are just two of the many things the organization teaches.

My oldest daughter has sent me pictures of the grands each day. The big smiles on their faces as they danced or cooked lunch over a campfire told me they were having a terrific time. I know there will be stories to tell when they get home.

Later…
